While we don’t generally work directly with under-18s, we’re passionate about supporting those who do.
We regularly run workshops and training opportunities for teachers, educators, and facilitators, helping to bring our playful and empowering approach to the classroom and rehearsal room.
We’ve created a range of resources designed to inspire teachers and young people, offering an insight into Emma Rice’s unique creative process. You can sign up to our eduction area below - just add your name and email address!
By signing upto our education area we'll automatically sign you up to our mailing list to recieve information on new education resources and workshop opportunities. If you'd no longer like to recieve these please contact us here.

Can I invite you to my show?We love an invitation to a show! BUT we’ve got a small team based in the South West of the UK. If your show is beyond Bristol, Frome, and the surrounding areas, we may struggle to attend at short notice. We’ve also got limited time when we’re not making our own shows and, as a rule, we prioritise the shows of our Emma Rice Company (formerly Wise Children) Training Programme alumni.
-
Can I invite you to my drama school showcaseThere’s no need to send us invitations to drama school showcases and productions as we have signed up to be invited and will do our best to attend.
-
Will Emma be able to come to my show? Our whole team heads out to see shows and we spend a lot of our time chatting about the theatre that we love. There aren’t very many of us, so if one of us comes to your show, everyone else will hear how great it is.
-
How do I get an audition with you?Our preferred way to meet performers is through the Emma Rice Company Training Programme. We are unfortunately unsolicited Spotlight links or CVs.
-
How do I get to work with you?Our vacancies will be shared on our social media and mailing list, but you’re welcome to send us speculative CVs. Please include where you are based, your experience of touring, and your availability.
-
Can I assist or shadow your directing team? All assisting opportunities will be either offered to people who have already taken part in the Emma Rice Company (formerly Wise Children)Training Programme, or advertised openly on our website and newsletter. Our rehearsal rooms are closed, so we are unable to offer any shadowing opportunities.
-
Can I send you my play?Congratulations on finishing your play! Emma Rice Company solely produces work written or adapted by Emma Rice, and unfortunately, we cannot accept and will not read unsolicited scripts.
-
Can you be my mentor? We run a Company mentoring programme where we provide bespoke mentoring for a theatre company each year. The mentorship begins at the beginning of January, so keep an eye on our newsletter and website during the preceding months for information on how to apply to be an Emma Rice Company mentee.
