The Lucky Chance is our creative home in Frome, Somerset.

It’s the base where we make and rehearse our work, run our Training Programme Residencies, share work-in-progress and – from sometimes – perform our shows.

The Lucky Chance is a former Methodist church. Over the past three years, our core team have poured love, care, and creativity into restoring the building — transforming it into our very own, purpose-built creation space.

It's still a work-in-progress (and in fact we are currently adding a small extension with funding from the brilliant Backstage Trust) but from the start The Lucky Chance has always been more than just a venue. It’s our home. A dream home. Once filled with the prayers of generations past, these walls are now ready to answer our theatre prayers.

As it’s our creation space, The Lucky Chance isn’t open to the public full time. When there are public shows on sale, they will always be listed on our home page. Emma Rice Company Club members also benefit from special opportunities to visit, so join the Club if you’d like more access.

If you're coming to visit, we're at The Lucky Chance, Portway, Frome BA11 1QR
